Aftercare basics
- Broad spectrum SPF 50 at all times
- Avoid direct sun exposure
- No exfoliation for 7-10 days post peel, until the skin has recovered and any redness or peeling has subsided
- Avoid using Vitamin A for 72 hours
- Avoid any facial treatments/aesthetic procedures, waxing, IPL and Laser for 2-4 weeks
- Avoid touching, pressing, or massaging the area for 24–48 hours
- Avoid strenuous exercise for 24–48 hours
- Avoid saunas/steam rooms/hot yoga and sunbeds for 48 hours
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours
- Avoid facials or microneedling for 2 weeks
- Avoid makeup on the treated area for at least 6 hours

What is it?
The obagi Blue Peel Radiance (BPR) is a chemical peel that is minimally invasive that helps improve the appearance of skin. There are many types of chemical peels. Light or superficial peels usually contain alpha and beta hydroxy acids, such as glycolic acid, lactic acid and salicylic acid. Due to BPR being a superficial peel, it allows us to achieve quick radiant results even after just one session, with little to no downtime.
How long does it take?
The peel can sit on your skin for up to 12 minutes however usually this is not needed. The preparation prior to peel application is key and you can expect your whole appointment to last approximately 45 minutes.
Does it hurt?
You may feel a little tingling during the peel process but most people tolerate this peel very well with little to no discomfort. You will also be able to leave the clinic room and go about your normal day with no change in your appearance, apart from a glow!
Is there downtime?
Due to this peel being a superficial peel, there is little to no downtime. You will see an immediate glow post procedure with longer lasting results in the weeks to come. You may experience very light peeling a few days after the procedure.
When will I see results?
Immediate glow after even just one peel, with longer lasting results for weeks to come.
How long do results last?
Results last for several weeks, although best and longer lasting results are usually seen with a course of 4-6 peels approximately 2-4 weeks apart.
