New: SkinPen
(Microneedling)
For texture, acne scarring and overall skin rejuvenation.
Explore SkinPenAdvanced microneedling to improve skin texture, acne scarring, body scars, signs of ageing and overall skin rejuvenation.
Microneedling works by stimulating collagen and elastin production as the skin repairs itself following controlled micro-injury.
At Bashra Aesthetics, we use the SkinPen Precision Elite – an advanced, FDA-approved device that is able to create approximately 2 million micro-channels following one treatment, leading to a dramatic boost in collagen production. This translates to improved skin quality and texture, reduced pores, reduction in fine lines and improvement in acne and facial or body scars and stretch marks.
All microneedling treatments include complimentary aftercare products to help soothe and hydrate the skin.
Also available: scars.
Suitability is confirmed during consultation. Microneedling is not suitable during pregnancy/breastfeeding and may not be suitable if you have certain medical conditions or medications, or if you have an active infection at the treatment site. All risks and aftercare are explained clearly as part of the consent process prior to treatment.

Suitability for any potential treatments will be established during your consultation.
Treatment time is usually 30–40 minutes depending on the number of areas treated and the size of area(s).
Most people tolerate microneedling very well. Numbing cream is applied prior to treatment.
The area being treated will be red/erythematous. The majority of this will settle very quickly, with most people having a little redness like a mild sunburn for 24–48 hours.
Initial improvements – such as more radiant and smoother skin – often appear within 1 to 2 weeks. However, significant results are typically seen 4 to 6 weeks post-treatment, as collagen and elastin production peaks. A series of 3–6 sessions is usually required for optimal results.
Results can last years if you continue to have maintenance sessions. Typically you would be advised to undertake these every 3–6 months.
Temporary redness and mild tenderness are most common. This usually settles within 24–48 hours.
Not suitable during pregnancy/breastfeeding; suitability is confirmed in consultation and medical history review.
